East Side Soccer is an independent youth soccer league committed to providing a supportive and inspiring environment in which players learn and develop the skills and concepts of soccer. Our oldest and largest program is Recreation Soccer. We have served children of the region for over forty years. We also have an Advanced Development program and a Referee program.

Recreation Soccer
We are an all-volunteer, outdoor, independent recreational league, serving primarily the City of Syracuse (NY) East and its adjacent suburbs. We are committed to providing a non-competitive environment to youth in grades K through 8, to teach the skills and concepts of soccer. We also offer a PreK program.

We are supported by player fees, donations, and a lot of volunteer hours, and offer scholarships to children who cannot afford our fees.

Registrations after August 30 and for the spring session only are accepted on a space-available basis.

Players are placed on teams in appropriate divisions, according to the grade level of the player.

The Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 7/8 divisions are co-ed. Other levels have separate boys and girls divisions but may be combined based on the number of players registered.

Our goal is to create teams that are as even as possible and factors such as age, school, and ability are considered in the placement process.

We welcome you to join us as a player, volunteer coach, or other volunteers.

Advanced Development Program
ESSNY ADP provides players who would like to develop their skills beyond the recreation program the opportunity to train and compete year round.

ESSNY ADP has a proven track record of developing youth soccer players and providing safe, fun, and developmentally appropriate training. In addition, our teams have participated and succeeded in local and regional leagues and tournaments.

Referees
East Side Soccer hires multiple referees to officiate on Saturday mornings for the ESS Recreation program (fall and spring).  ESS players and alumni who are WNYSRA certified can apply to get experience officiating in our recreation program. They also receive guidance and mentoring from our Referee Coordinator.
