Price: $150 for 5-weeks or $250 for all 10-weeks (save $50 when registering for all 10 practices) (includes 10 turf practices, jersey, & gold medal)

Northstars Soccer Club presents its 15th season of its Academy Skills Program! The Academy is an instructional program for children ages 5-14 years. Players are grouped by age & ability. The focus at this age is to make players more comfortable with the ball at their feet and introduce the game in a relaxed environment.  Your child will learn the basic fundamentals of soccer in a fun yet structured environment.  The academy program philosophy is to emphasize player development and focus on technical skill development of each child.  Practice is broken into stations incorporating dribbling, passing, trapping, shooting, ball skills, agility footwork, attacking & defending concepts into fun games.  

Note: We incorporate a scrimmage station into all practices to give kids real game play opportunities. (See attached curriculum guide showing the typical practice structure)

Todd Cook, CNS 7/8 Modified Boys Soccer Head Coach, Northstars Soccer Club -Director of Coaching (2003 – Present), Director of Men's Soccer Operations at Syracuse University (2015- 2020), ACC Champions 2015, College Cup Final 4 2015, USSF National C-License, Skaneateles Girls Varsity Soccer Head Coach (2012-2014), 2012 & 2013 OHSL Liberty League Coach of the Year, LeMoyne College Men’s Soccer Player 1998-2001, Spain Soccer Tour 2018, England Soccer Tour 2001, along with other qualified professionals will provide quality coaching, while helping youngsters build a love for the game!  Correct skills will be demonstrated by coaches for players to visualize what they will need to do.  Coaching staff will also stop game play during scrimmages to show concepts & simplify concepts. 

Camp 1:  June 30 - July 3
Camp 2: August 11 - August 14

Time: 9 am-12:30 pm
Location: Barry Park
Age: 1st - 7th grade boys and girls (2025/26 school year)

Players will be encouraged to develop their technical and tactical soccer ability in a fun and energetic environment. There will be a focus on skill development using a variety of different sessions, challenges and small sided games as well as nurturing players love for the game.

SUNY Morrisville Head Coach Paul Allsopp will be leading the camp:

Coach Allsopp has almost 20 years coaching experience both in the USA and UK including working in the youth setups at Premier League AFC Bournemouth and New York Red Bulls. He has also served locally as Director of Coaching at both East Side Soccer Club and FM Youth Soccer Club. He has a UEFA B coaching qualification and a Sport & Exercise degree. He also played semi-professionally in England.

Joe looks forward to his 29 annual soccer camp this year, following another successful season as head coach of the Christian Brothers Academy (C.B.A.) Boys Varsity Soccer Team. During Joe’s 29 years at C.B.A. Joe has won over 350 games, twelve section 3 titles, six regional titles and two state championships. In 1995 and 2007, Coach Papaleo was named “Coach of the Year” by the Syracuse Post Standard. Joe was also named 2000 New York State Private Coach of the Year. In 2005, Coach Papaleo was elected to the Greater Syracuse Hall of Fame for his career as a player and coach. He is currently the only soccer player in the Syracuse Hall of Fame. In 2013, Joe was assistant coach for the Syracuse Silver Knights of the Major Indoor Soccer League.
